Captain Cartoon posts political caricatures, cartoons and advertising clip art for free use

South Florida caricaturist Captain Cartoon recently launched a "Free Clip Art" page on his main website!

The posted caricatures, political cartoons and advertising illustrations are available for free use by established  publications, newsletters and websites according to the terms appearing on the web page. "Having worked in newspaper page and ad design for many years, I know the value of that 'just right' image," says the Captain.

His latest free-use image is a caricature of Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi. "The only issue I had with this guy stems from mainstream media's apparent inability to spell his name right," says the Captain. "Is it Moammar Gaddafi, Muammar Qaddafi, or Ghaddafi? It's all daffy," he says.

Other caricatures include Wikipedia's Julian Assange, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Arnold Schwarzenegger and even "Baghdad Bob," Saddam Hussein's less-than-accurate spokesman.

"I'll be adding more political and celebrity caricatures in the coming weeks," says Captain Cartoon, aka Dick Kulpa, former publisher of CRACKED Magazine. "Some will be line art, others, full-fledged digital continuous tone drawings," he adds.
"I'm a big supporter of hard copy newspapers," says the Captain, "they need all the help they can get to maintain staffs, budgets, etc., so I'm doing my part to help."

Dick Kulpa is former publisher of Cracked Magazine, former editor of Weekly World News, and has had comic strips syndicated by the Los Angeles Times Syndicate and Tribune Media Services, Inc. He is now touring South Florida, performing at events, parties and restaurants as Captain Cartoon, caricature artist.
